Marzipan with Love – since 1806

About the brand

Niederegger – Tradition and Quality Across 8 Generations

Niederegger is a family-owned company with a long-standing tradition in producing high-quality marzipan. Founded in 1806, the brand quickly established itself in the European market. In 1856, Niederegger products reached the court of the Russian tsars, with each box bearing the initials of the founder, Johann Georg Niederegger (J.G.N.). In 1871, the first Niederegger caf? opened, becoming a company emblem. Two years later, in 1873, Niederegger marzipan received international recognition, winning an award at the World Exhibition in Vienna.

In 1908, the company became an official supplier to the court of the German Kaiser, and in 1927, it introduced its iconic logo, which remains a symbol of quality and sophistication to this day. Although the Niederegger caf? was destroyed by bombings in 1942, it was rebuilt in 1948 at the same location, preserving the spirit and tradition of the brand.
