Italian exquisite taste

The company was founded in 1923 in Asti under the name of SALPA (Stabilimento Astese Lavorazione Prodotti Alimentari). Its major goal was to capture the bounty of the fertile region of Piedmont, North West Italy, where it is still based today, and to preserve it through the year for wholesale trade. In 1939 SALPA changed its corporate name to SACLA (Societa Anonima Commercio e Lavorazione Alimentari). Thanks to the good management of the founder, Signor Secondo Ercole, the company was growing and becoming ever more successful.

From packing vegetables into cans, soon SACLA extended its product range and became one of Italy’s most prosperous companies. Today SACLA offers various products such as pesto and pasta sauces, antipasti in oil, pickled vegetables and a wide range of olives which are in demand both on the domestic and global markets.

All products are made in Italy using only the finest, freshly picked vegetables and traditional recipes. The company does not make any compromise with respect to quality.

Since its establishment in 1923, SACLA has become a leader in offering authentic Italian fine food. Nevertheless, the company is committed to expanding, following a comprehensive program of product and technological development.
